Lecture 1 and 2 -Relativity
In continuation with the theme of classical mechanics (PHY101), we shall learn how our general notion of space, time and motion (Newtonian Physics) fails at very very high speeds. This realm is called relativistic mechanics and culminated in the theory of special relativity, introduced by Einstein in 1905. Fundamental concepts necessary to understand the laws of relativity shall be explained in details with simple examples, and paradoxes.
